Clear Lake Fishing Club Meetings

The Clear Lake Fishing club met at Bennigan’s Restaurant on 10/21/08. 

The first order of business was to acknowledge the retirement of Don Morrison as club treasurer and elect a new treasurer.  Don has been serving the club since its formation over 20 years ago.  We all extend our gratitude to Don.  He has been and will continue to be great friend and colleague to all of us.  Kristi Wilcke was nominated and unanimously voted to serve as our new club treasurer.  Thanks to Kristi for devoting her time to the club.

The next order of business was to elect a new Vice President.  Jeff Giesman was nominated and unanimously voted to be our new Vice President.  Thanks to Jeff for devoting his time to the club.  Jeff replaces Joe Schmit, who did a great job for us and also generously sponsored our $1000 dollar fish this year.  Hats off to Joe.

Brad Bull and Dan Krauth were unanimously voted to another term as President and Secretary respectively.

Our president, Brad Bull, confirmed that the Annual Walleye Classic date is set and confirmed for May 16^th & 17^th, 2009. 

Further discussion included finding potential sponsors, the possibility of having a fall tournament in 09 and things we can do to improve our Classic tournament next year. 

The next meeting of the Clear Lake Fishing Club will be held Tuesday, November 18th. Meetings are held at the Clear Lake Bennigans Restaurant, social hour 6:00-7:00 pm, meeting starting at 7:00 pm. Be sure to be apart of this special season by attending this meeting. Please bring any suggestions to this meeting on what we can do to make this year special.
